The prayer, according to the Chairman, was in view of the lingering security situation across Ifelodun Local Government Area.

In his address, Hadji Femi Yusuf expressed gratitude to Almighty God for guidance over the past one year and reaffirmed his commitment to delivering inclusive development across all the 18 wards of the local government.

He highlighted numerous projects executed during his first year, including the construction of primary healthcare centres, solar-powered motorized boreholes, hand-pump boreholes, installation of solar streetlights, grading of several township and inter-community roads, and the renovation of schools and health facilities across different wards.

The Chairman noted that the administration has also prioritized security, with the procurement of 20 motorcycles for local security outfits, employment and training of 100 forest guards, provision of bulletproof vests and modern gadgets, and the establishment of the Ifelodun Road Traffic Marshals (IRTM) to manage traffic in major market areas.

In the agricultural sector, Hadji Yusuf disclosed that the council refurbished four abandoned tractors, procured additional ridgers, and empowered 500 livestock farmers with machinery and goats to boost mechanized and livestock farming.

He revealed that 43 students were sponsored to study health-related courses, with a plan to absorb them into the local healthcare system upon graduation.

On the welfare of traditional rulers, the Chairman announced the issuance of official identity cards and plate numbers to monarchs across all classes in the council, while assuring continuous support for the Traditional Council in maintaining peace and stability.

He appreciated the support of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the National Security Adviser for their interventions in addressing security challenges, while commending the cooperation of the Traditional Council and residents in tackling non-state actors within the local government.

Hadji AbdulRasheed Femi Yusuf assured the people of Ifelodun of more transformative projects in road construction, education, healthcare, and security in the coming years of his administration.
