Ifelodun Local Government Partners NCAM To Empower Farmers

The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, has announced plans to partner with the National Center for Agricultural Mechanization, NCAM to empower farmers within the local government area.

Hadji Yusuf announced this during an on-site visit to the NCAM center in Idofian.

The Chairman’s delegation including the Vice Chairman of Ifelodun local government, Nike Ajibola; Chief of Staff, Chief Ademola Zubair and; Jodi Folorunsho, were received by the Director of NCAM, Engineer Abdulrasheed Kamal.

Hadji Yusuf shared his vision to enhance food security in Ifelodun Local Government area through access to agricultural machinery that would make farming easier and more productive.

He also outlined plans for the local government to acquire additional tractors and other farming machinery to boost food production for local consumption and revenue generation.

In a remark, the Director of NCAM, Engineer Kamal, applauded Hadji Yusuf’s initiative, noting that it was the first time a local government chairman had visited NCAM to explore ways to leverage its services.

He explained that NCAM had consistently supported farmers in many States nationwide, through its locally fabricated machineries.

The Chairman of Ifelodun local government was thereafter taken on a tour of various units within the NCAM facility, including the Processing Machine Unit, Production Unit, Waste-to-Wealth Unit, and Greenhouse.
