The Chief Imam of Maraba Centre Mosque, Imam Alliu Olayinka Gbamuragaji, has called on governments at all levels to improve Nigeria’s three key sectors of health, education, and security for the overall progress of the nation.

Delivering his Friday Jumah sermon, Imam Gbamuragaji said the persistent challenges in these critical areas continue to hinder national development and citizens’ welfare.

He noted that Nigeria’s founding fathers had laid a solid foundation through their sacrifices and contributions.

The Chief Imam stressed the need for the present leaders to build on that legacy by addressing pressing socio-economic concerns.

The cleric urged the Kwara State Government to prioritize the welfare of its citizens by providing free healthcare, free education, and strengthening security, which he suggested could be financed through the state’s security votes.
