
The former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has assured People’s Democratic Party, PDP, members that the party is on course to reclaim power in Kwara state.
Speaking during a Sallah hangout with party stakeholders, women and youth from across the state who gathered at his residence to celebrate the festive season with him and his family, Dr. Saraki expressed confidence that the next Eid-el-Kabir celebration would be the last one the PDP would observe as an opposition party in the state.
Dr. Saraki who is also a former Governor of Kwara State thanked the party members, especially the women and youth groups for their steadfastness, resilience and commitment to the party’s cause despite the challenges.
According to him, their unwavering dedication is a source of inspiration and a clear sign that victory is near.
While commending them for their endurance, in the face of a harsh economic situation and the anti-masses policies, he emphasised that the PDP is committed to rescuing the state from poor governance and repositioning it for the benefit of all Kwarans.
The former Senate President charged the party faithful to remain united to be able to kick out the ruling government, stressing the need for them to work towards ensuring that the young ones register in the ongoing membership registration exercise.
The Waziri Ngeri thanked those who honoured him with their presence, saying he valued their moments of sharing the festive season with his people.
