Janaiza Prayer For Late Sarkin Gobir Of Ilorin Emirate
Janaiza prayer for late Sarkin Gobir of Ilorin Emirate and Chairman of Ilorin Aviation College, Captain Muhammad Ahmad Yusuf-Gobir was today held at the Gobir family compound Ilorin.
The Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr Mohammed Bashir Salihu, who led the janaiza prayer.
Imam Mohammed Bashir prayed Allah to repose the soul of the Sarkin Gobir and give his family as well as the Kwara State Governor and the Emir of Ilorin the fortitude to bear the great loss.
The prayer was attended by dignitaries including Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Turaki of Ilorin, Senator Salihu Mustapha, the Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Idris Gobir Mohammed, and the former Minister of Interior, Alhaji AbdulRahman Dambazau among others.
During a condolence visit to the bereaved family, Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq described the death of the deceased as sad and a great loss to Ilorin Emirate and the entire state.
Governor AbdulRazaq commended the legacies of Captain Yusuf Gobir, who was his childhood friend, describing him as an illustrious technocrat and administrator who supervised and impressively turnaround the Aviation College within a very short time.
The Governor prayed Allaah to admit him to al-jannah Firdaus and uphold his family upon goodness.
