
Journalists in Kwara State Urged Embrace Innovation Hub To Enhance Their Productivity.
Media professionals in Kwara State have been urged to take full advantage of the Innovation Hub to enhance their productivity.
The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Mrs. Bolanle Olukoju, gave the advice while speaking at a one-day seminar on Human Capital Development for the Media Industry in the State.
Mrs. Olukoju encouraged journalists to be innovatively minded and utilize facilities at the Innovation Hub, constructed by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
She expressed concern over the prevalence of fake news and tasked journalists to strictly adhere to their professional ethics and maintain objectivity.

The Commissioner also acknowledged the importance of media and technology in educating people about their rights and opportunities.
In an address of welcome, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, Mrs Maryam Nna-Fatima Imam posited that exploration of media and technology would go a long way in educating the people on their rights, opportunities and how they can access government programmes.

Mrs Nna-Fatima Imam explained that Human Capital Development is about people by ensuring they are healthy, educated and empowered to contribute meaningfully to the society.
The Senior Special Assistant, who acknowledged Governor Abdulrazaq giant strides in the education sector having increased school enrollment to ensure more children have access to quality education, thanked the Governor for his dedication towards enhancing Human Capital Development in the state.

The Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Kwara State Council, Mallam Abdul-lateef Lanre Ahmed noted that the seminar was organized to strengthen productivity of journalists in the state.
The seminar, tagged, “Empowering Minds, Changing Narratives: Advancing Human Capital Development through Media and Technology,” was organized by the National Office of Human Capital Development, Abuja, in collaboration with the Kwara State Government.
