Speaker, Kaiama LGA Inaugurates House Standing Committees
The Speaker, Kaiama Local Government Legislative Council, Rt. Hon. Idris AbdulKabir Mora, has formally constituted the standing committees to spearhead transformative development and exemplary service delivery in the community.
According to Speaker AbdulKabir Mora, the constituted committees heralds a new dawn of inclusive governance, accountability, and transparency.
“We have meticulously selected chairmen and members renowned for their expertise, integrity, and commitment to the well-being of our constituents.”
The Standing Committees as inaugurated are Health, Works, Education, Agriculture, Finance, Revenue, and House Service.
Hon. AbdulKabir Mora noted that the committees would engage in robust oversight function, facilitate stakeholders engagement, and champion evidence-based policy-making to address pressing community needs.
He appealed to the residents of Kaiama to support the legislators by actively participating in the committees activities, such as public hearings, and town hall meetings, giving the assurance that their voices would be heard and valued.
The Speaker emphasized that building a vibrant, formidable and prosperous Kaiama community is a responsibility for all, hence, everyone should contribute their quota.
