A total of one thousand, seven hundred Corps members have been sworn-in for the one year national service in Kwara State with a charge to make patriotism, discipline and hard work their watchword.
Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq gave the charge in an address on the occasion of the Swearing in ceremony for the 2024 Batch ‘B’, Stream 1 Orientation Course at the Kwara State Permanent Orientation Camp, Yikpata.
The Kwara State Governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Alhaji Shehu Usman, pledged continued support to the welfare and security of youth corps members serving in the state and encouraged them to always present themselves as worthy ambassadors of the scheme.
Governor Abdulrazaq noted that the NYSC Scheme has so far, in its over fifty years of establishment, served as an avenue for educated Nigerian Youth to rightly chanel their required skills, energy, talent and intellectual towards national development.

In a welcome address, the Kwara State NYSC Coordinator, Mr Olaoluwa Onifade, appreciated the state government for its support through the provision of camp facilities and welfare of the youth on national assignment.
The State Coordinator however, appealed for provision of water tanker, ambulance with life saving gadgets, Hilux van as well as completion of the perimeter fencing of the orientation
camp.
The Corps members, comprising eight hundred and sixty females and eight hundred and forty males, were sworn-in by Justice Nuraini Kuranga of the Kwara State High Court.
