Speaking on behalf of the ward chairmen, the Chairman of the APC Ward Chairmen Forum, Alhaji Abdullahi Baba Gobir, said the decision to encourage Governor AbdulRazaq to vie for the Senate was driven by collective interest rather than personal ambition.

He noted that the move reflects a shared desire among party stakeholders at the grassroots to sustain purposeful leadership, deepen governance experience, and promote people-oriented representation at the national level.

He added that, on behalf of all 193 ward chairmen in the state, the forum commended the governor’s leadership style and the developmental strides recorded across various sectors.

Gobir urged party members to remain united, steadfast, and supportive of the governor in order to consolidate on the achievements recorded so far.
The APC Ward Chairmen Forum also expressed optimism about the party’s chances in the 2027 general elections, describing it as a potential walkover at both the state and national levels, with no formidable opposition in sight.
