The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Adekimi Ojo, has paid an assessment visit to Eruku community in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State following reports of a recent security breach in the area.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, the Police Commissioner was received on arrival by the Divisional Police Officer, Eruku Division, alongside other tactical commanders who had earlier been mobilized to evaluate the situation and coordinate an immediate response.
During the visit, the CP, in company of the State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mr. Micheal Oganwu, fsi, and other senior security officers, paid a courtesy call on the Owa of Eruku Land, His Royal Highness, Oba Busari Ayinde Oyediran Olarenwaju, Amuludunloye I.

The traditional ruler expressed gratitude for the prompt intervention of the security agencies, while also lamenting the attack that had disrupted the peace of the community.
He appealed for increased deployment of security personnel to safeguard the lives and property of his subjects.
CP Ojo thereafter engaged community leaders, local vigilante operatives, and residents in an interactive session aimed at obtaining firsthand information about the incident and reassuring them of the Command’s unwavering commitment to their safety.

The security delegation also visited the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Isegun, where the resident pastor, Mr. Bamidele, narrated how the incident unfolded and conducted the officials around the affected areas of the church premises.
SP Ejire-Adeyemi noted that the Commissioner of Police has since commenced a strategic review of the incident, with emphasis on deploying adequate personnel and resources to rescue any victims, apprehend the perpetrators, restore public confidence, and maintain law and order in the community.
She added that further updates will be provided as investigations continue and more details emerge.
