Kwara State Government has reiterated its commitment to the welfare of members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC deployed to the state for their mandatory national service.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq reaffirmed this pledge during the swearing-in ceremony for participants of the 2025 Batch C Orientation Course at the temporary orientation camp, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.

Represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development and Chairman of the NYSC State Governing Board, Shehu Ndanusa, the Governor disclosed that approval has been granted for total perimeter fencing of the permanent orientation camp at Yikpata in Edu Local Government Area.

He charged the youth to fully participate in the three-week orientation exercise, which is designed to equip them with the attributes of good citizenship, discipline, and patriotism.

In his address, the Kwara State NYSC Coordinator, Olaoluwa Onifade, commended the State Government for the prompt approval of a new camp site at the State Polytechnic to ensure the security of the corps members and NYSC staff.

He however, appealed to the government for the provision of utility vehicles and lifesaving gadgets to serve the youth posted across the sixteen local government areas of the State.

The Coordinator advised the Corps members to be committed to camp activities, especially the skills acquisition and entrepreneurship programmes.

The total of 3,313 corps members sworn in by the Kwara State Chief Judge, Justice Abiodun Adebara, comprised 1,4 88 make 1,825.
