The Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has commended the Federal Government for sustaining the National Youth Serve Corps, NYSC scheme over the years.
Governor Abdulrazaq gave the commendation at the formal commencement of the 2023 Batch ‘B’ Stream Two orientation course at the Kwara State NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Yikpata in Edu Local Government.
Represented by his deputy, Mr Kayode Alabi, the Kwara State Governor noted that the scheme has afforded Nigerian youths the opportunity to channel their skills and intellect towards national development.
He assured the corps members that the service year would afford them the opportunity to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of their country which puts premium on their moral and physical development for a greater future.

In an address, the NYSC State Coordinator for Kwara, Mr Olaoluwa Onifade, on behalf of the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, appreciated Kwara State government and the host community for their unrelenting support to the scheme.
Mr Onifade told the corps members that all skills acquisition and leadership training programmes during the three week orientation exercise would equip them to be self employed after their service year, hence the need for them to take it seriously.
A total of one thousand, three hundred and eighty seven corps members were registered and administered oath of allegiance by the Chief Judge of Kwara State, Justice Abiodun Adebara.
