The last batch of Commissioner Nominees submitted to the Kwara State House of Assembly have been screened on Monday.
Answering questions from lawmakers,the Commissioner Nominee from Oke-Ero Local Government, Dr Mary Arinde identified improved welfare and on-the-job training of teachers as crucial to educational development.
Dr Arinde advocated professionalism and monitoring as key to achieving the desired results in the education sector.
Another nominee from Irepodun Local Government, Mrs Bolanle Olukoju recommended effective communication strategies and regular townhall meetings for dissemination of information about government to the grassroots.
The immediate past Deputy Leader of the House, Mr John Bello from Moro; Mrs Hauwa Nuru, Ilorin West; Mrs Toyosi Thomas and Mrs Damilola Yusuf, both from Isin Local Government, were asked to take a bow and leave.
Confirmation of all the nominees by the lawmakers has been scheduled for Tuesday.
