The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Adekimi Ojo, has assured members of Police Officers’ Wives Association, POWA, of his continued support and partnership in all efforts aimed at the welfare of police families and the advancement of their noble objectives.

CP Adekimi Ojo stated this when he received the Chairperson, Kwara State Chapter of the Association, led by the wife of the Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Catherine Ojo-Adekimi, alongside other executives and members of the association.

A statement issued by Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi indicates that the courtesy visit was to appreciate the unwavering support POWA has enjoyed from the Command over the years and to further strengthen the existing bond of collaboration.

He described the visit as uplifting and a strong reminder of the vital role police families, particularly wives, play in the emotional and psychological well-being of officers.

The Commissioner of Police welcomed the delegation and expressed deep appreciation to the wife of the CP and all POWA members present.

Speaking, the POWA Chairperson, Mrs. Catherine Ojo-Adekimi expressed gratitude for the sustained synergy and reaffirmed the commitment of POWA members to supporting their spouses in service, as captured in the spirit and lyrics of the POWA anthem.

She commended the Kwara Command under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police for fostering peace, discipline, and a family-friendly atmosphere within the police community.

Mrs. Catherine Ojo-Adekimi also conveyed the association’s appreciation through the presentation of symbolic gifts to the Commissioner of Police and his management team.

The visit concluded in an atmosphere of love, unity, and a renewed commitment to family support and service.
