LG Poll: Kwara Speaker casts vote, expresses confidence in APC victory in Baruten
The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu joined the electorates to exercise his civil duty in the ongoing Local Council Elections in Gwanara, Baruten Local Government Area of the State.
Speaking after casting the ballot at his polling unit 015 Seriki Noma in Gwanara ward, Rt. Hon. Engr. Danladi-Salihu commended the electoral officers for what he described as the professional conduct of the election and also applauded the impressive turnout of voters.
“It was a seamless exercise done without much hassle, kudos should be given to the KWASIEC for the professional conduct of the exercise which ensured that the seeming delay in the arrival of materials did not debar eligible voters from exercising their civic responsibility”, Speaker Danladi stated.
“With the massive turnout of voters especially members of our great party the All Progressives Congress APC, I’m confident that our chairmanship candidate; Hon. Isa Jibril, and all other councilorship candidates would emerge victorious at the end of the exercise because our amiable Governor, His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON has performed wonderfully well across the state”
“In Baruten for example, we have benefited a lot from the present administration, talk of appointment, empowerment, interventions in education, health, water, electricity road construction among other numerous infrastructural developments and the government is not resting yet, so all these put together are pointers to the fact that APC would carry the day”
Similar hitch-free exercises were recorded in other parts of the Local Government such as Okuta, Ilesha, and Kosubosu among others.
