
Mental Health: KWPOLY Rector Advocates Investment To Address Challenges
Government, educational institutions, and other stakeholders have been urged to invest in mental health services that are accessible, affordable and effective.
This will help in addressing challenges of mental health in the society.
The Rector, Kwara State Polytechnic, Engr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed gave the advice while delivering lecture at the Thriving Youth Summit.

Engr Abdul Jimoh in the lecture titled, “Empowering Youth for a Brighter”, explained that academic stress, job insecurity, and the pressure to constantly perform and live up to societal expectations could take a toll on one’s mental health.
The Rector, who stressed the need to prioritize the well-being of young people, advocated creating safe spaces for them to express themselves and seek help when needed.
Engr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed enjoined the youth to have trusted in their ability to lead, innovate, and build a future that is equitable, just and sustainable.
