The Director General, Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies, MINILS, Ilorin, Kwara State, Comrade Issa Aremu, has reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to implementing programmes aimed at creating decent jobs in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Comrade Issa Aremu stated this at the Institute during the official opening of a Post-Graduate Diploma Course in Career Guidance and Counseling.

He explained said the nine-month pilot programme was designed to train workers, promote decent job creation, and equip participants with quality knowledge.
The Director General described the initiative as a “train-the-trainer” programme targeted at boosting efficiency and productivity in workplaces.
Comrade Aremu commended the Minister of Labour and other partners for their support, urging participants to take the training seriously and transfer the knowledge gained to others.

Earlier, the Director of Academy, Dr. Silvanus Adamude, explained that the programme was structured to provide comprehensive guidance and counseling skills.
Dr Adamude assured the participants of impactful and high-quality training throughout the duration of the course.
Some of the participants expressed optimism that the training would enhance their performance at work.
