The Nigeria Governors’ Forum has expressed sadness over the tragic tanker explosion that claimed several lives in Katcha Local Government Area of Niger State.
In a condolence message, the Forum commiserated with the Government and people of Niger State, particularly the families of the victims and Governor Mohammed Umar Bago.
Chairman of the Forum and Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, described the incident as deeply painful and called for improved safety measures in the storage and transportation of combustible materials.
He also appreciated emergency responders for their swift humanitarian intervention and urged continuous vigilance to prevent future occurrences.
Governor AbdulRazaq said the Forum stands in solidarity with Niger State during this period of grief.
