NGF mourns children killed in Oyo Christmas party stampede
The Nigeria Governors’ Forum has expressed sadness over the deaths of several children following an unfortunate stampede at a Christmas party in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The Forum, in a statement by its Chairman and Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, commiserates with the Vice Chairman and Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, the families of the victims, and the people of the State.
The forum called for the immediate probe of the stampede to forestall the recurrence of such sad incidents in any part of the country.
The statement prays that God give solace to the bereaved families and rest the souls of the little children that died in the incident and quick recovery for the injured.
