Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Umar Mohammed, has decorated 416 newly promoted officers with a charge to embrace their new ranks with heightened sense of duty and accountability.
Commandant Umar gave the charge on Thursday, October 24, 2024, during the decoration ceremony held at the State Command Headquarters in Ilorin the Kwara State capital.
According to a statement my the corps spokesperson, Mr Michael Ayoola, the promoted officers include 21 Deputy Commandant of Corps, 10 Assistant Commandant of Corps, 13 Chief Superintendent of Corps and 48 Superintendent of Corps
The rest are: 129 Deputy Superintendent of Corps, 127 Assistant Superintendent of Corps I, and 68 Assistant Superintendent of Corps II.
The Commandant expressed gratitude to the Minister of Interior, Mr Tunji Ojo, and the NSCDC Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Audi for magnanimously approving a significant number of promotion in recognition of their hard work and commitment to service.
While congratulating the newly promoted officers on their well-deserved promotion, he charged them further to redouble their efforts in the bid to actualize the mandate of the Corps.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, DCC Augustine Eramhaenze, said they acknowledged the divine favour that led to their promotion to higher ranks.
Officer Eramhaenze assured that the officers would earnestly strive to fulfill their responsibilities with diligence and dedication.
