A kidnapped 400-Level student of Kogi State University, Anyigba, Miss Fauziyah Muhammed has been found and reunited with her family.
According to a statement by the spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Kwara State Command, Mr Michael Ayoola, investigation revealed that Fauziyah was abducted outside the premises of the Kogi State University, Anyigba.
The statement explains that she was found wandering in Egbejila area of Ilorin when a concerned citizen alerted the community leaders who promptly handed her over to the NSCDC personnel who traced her family.
However, the victim stated that she could not recall how she ended up in Kwara State.

An uncle of Miss Fauziyah, Mallam Salihu Aliu, received her and expressed gratitude to the NSCDC for their swift action.
The Command also paraded one Abu Umar, suspected to be a member of a gang of kidnappers.
The suspect was alleged to be involved in the abduction of a woman, Halimah Isiaka and her two sons, Kabir and Hassan Isiaka, on November 7, 2024, in the Gidanrogo area of Ajase-Ipo in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The Kwara NSCDC Commandant revealed that the suspect had previously worked for the family of the abducted victims.
The suspect is currently assisting the NSCDC in its efforts to apprehend other members of the syndicate who are still at large, and to secure the release of the victims.
Meanwhile, the Kwara NSCDC Command has reiterated its commitment to combating criminal activities and ensuring the safety and security of residents across the state.
