Over two thousand eligible civil servants in Kwara State, from Grade Level 7 to 17, have commenced the 2024 promotion examinations organized by the Kwara State Civil Service Commission.
The exercise, which began today at the Staff Development College, Ilorin, is being closely supervised by the Commission’s leadership, including the Chairman, Hajia Habibat Anike Yusuf; the Permanent Secretary, Hajia Kifayat Jimoh; and Commissioner I, Hajia Jemilat Bake Adamu.
Speaking with journalists after monitoring the examination centres, the Chairman, Hajia Habibat Yusuf, cautioned candidates against any form of examination malpractice, reaffirming the Commission’s commitment to integrity, fairness, and transparency in the conduct of the exercise.

She explained that the written examination would last one week and cover all eligible officers across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) who are due for promotion under the 2024 cycle.
Hajia Yusuf also disclosed that the promotion interview phase is scheduled to begin next week at the Commission’s headquarters in Ilorin and will span four weeks, starting Monday.
The Chairman commended the candidates for their orderly conduct and urged them to see the exercise as an opportunity to advance in their careers based on merit, dedication, and performance.
