Professor Abubakr Imam Ali-Agan Urges Muslims to Embrace Kindness, Unity and Global Responsibility
Muslims have been urged to show kindness and compassion to all humanity, regardless of colour, tribe or geographical location.
Professor Abubakr Imam Ali-Agan made the call during the Friday sermon he delivered at the Mosque of the Islamic Association of Raleigh, North Carolina, United States.
Professor Ali-Agan reminded worshippers that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent as a mercy to mankind, to liberate humanity from ignorance, injustice and misguided leadership.

He stressed the need for Muslims to uphold the Prophet’s teachings through exemplary conduct and service to humanity.
The cleric commended the founders of the Islamic Association of Raleigh for their commitment to upholding the banner of Islam in what he described as a highly materialistic society.
In his remarks after the prayers, the Imam of the mosque, Ashaykh Badawi, praised Professor Ali-Agan’s international da‘wah activities and urged Muslim scholars to emulate the companions of the Prophet, whose efforts helped spread Islam across the world.

Imam Badawi noted that Islam would not have attained its universal appeal if early Muslims had confined themselves to the Arabian Peninsula.
The mosque, largely attended by Arab immigrants and indigenous American Muslims, was filled to capacity for the sermon.
Meanwhile, Professor Abubakr Imam Ali-Agan also addressed Nigerian Muslims in the diaspora during a lecture at the Ansarudeen Society Mosque in Washington DC, where he advised them to strengthen family ties, particularly with children born abroad.
He described the preservation of family values as a core aspect of Prophetic teachings.
The university don also encouraged Nigerians in the diaspora not to lose faith in the combined efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and state governors in addressing the country’s security challenges, stressing that Nigeria’s problems can only be resolved through sincerity and commitment by its leaders.
He prayed for members of the Ansarudeen Society, commending them for establishing an Islamic centre in the seat of government of the United States.
