In the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, the Senior Special Adviser on Special Duties to the Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Yakub Tunde Ajadi-Prudent, has distributed food items and cash to 2,000 residents of Kwara State.
The distribution, which took place in Ilorin, the state capital, attracted members and loyalists of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across the state.
Speaking during the exercise, Mr. Ajadi-Prudent said the gesture was aimed at supporting vulnerable citizens and complementing the developmental strides of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in Kwara State.
He noted that the Ramadan outreach, which began four years ago, has become an annual initiative designed to reach people at the grassroots.
According to him, the humanitarian support will not end with Ramadan, as efforts would continue to alleviate the hardship faced by the less privileged in society.

The aide to the Minister of Youth Development commended Governor AbdulRazaq for what he described as people-centred projects focused on improving the living standards of residents.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Coordinator of Prudent Yakub Babatunde Ajadi Solidarity Movement, Oriyomi Abdulquadir Yusuf from Balogun Fulani Ward 1, Ilorin South Local Government Area, said the lawmaker’s benevolence cut across all the 16 local government areas of the state.
Similarly, another coordinator from Balogun Fulani Ward 3, Habeebullahi Hussain, described Mr Ajadi-Prudent as a responsive and compassionate leader who remains attentive to the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
The annual Ramadan package distribution featured symbolic presentations of food items and cash to selected beneficiaries by Ajadi-Prudent.
