Residents of Afon community in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State have commended the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, for facilitating the drilling of three boreholes to improve access to clean and safe water in the area.
According to the residents, the water facilities have since eased the community’s long-standing struggle with water scarcity, providing steady access to potable water and improving the general well-being of the people.

Alhaji Kayode, popularly known as Salala, listed the locations of the boreholes as Isalegbari, Eleyele, and Quarters “B” areas of Afon, noting that the intervention has greatly reduced the hardship previously faced by residents in sourcing water.

He described Mallam Issa-Onilu as “a man with the Midas touch,” whose commitment to community development has brought smiles to many households in Afon.
Alhaji Isiaka Kayode added that the people of Afon would remain grateful to the NOA boss for leveraging his office to address the needs of his people.
He prayed for God’s continued guidance and protection for Mallam Issa-Onilu as he supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in fulfilling the aspirations of Nigerians through the NOA’s mandate.
