The Association of Resident Doctors, Kwara State University Teaching Hospital, has commended the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the prompt payment of 2024 Consolidated Medical Salary Structure, CONMESS, with two months arrears.

President of the association, Dr Abdulfatai Abdulazeez, gave the commendation in an interaction with newsmen in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

Dr Abdulazeez disclosed that the government has also commenced the payment of the Medical Residency Training Fund allowance.

He stated that the prompt payment of residency allowance fund to the doctors marks a significant milestone in the history of the State.

According to Dr Abdulazeez, the development demonstrates the Kwara State Government’s dedication to investing in the next generation of medical professionals.

He noted that the commitment of Governor Abdulrazaq’s administration to the health sector would discourage japa syndrome and spur the medical doctors to render the best service to patients.

“Your exemplary commitment to residency training has paved the way for a brighter future for healthcare in Kwara,” he said.

The President of the Association of Resident Doctors at the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital, also commended the governor for prioritizing the health and wellbeing of people in the State.
