Thirty-seven Resident Doctors in the Kwara State Civil Service hve received their 2025 Medical Residency Training Fund.

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina El-Imam made this known in a statement by the Press Secretary, Ministry of Health, Hamdalat Saad.

Dr El-Imam explained that the timely payment by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, was to ease the financial burden associated with the doctor’s rigorous training programmes.

She stated further that the payment would enable the Resident Doctors to focus on their clinical education and provide quality healthcare services to patients.

“The MRTF is not ust a financial intervention—it is a statement of this administration’s priorities and values. Our resident doctors are the future of our healthcare system, and this support ensures that their journey to becoming specialists is not hindered by financial constraints,” Dr. El-Imam stated.

Dr El-Imam affirmed that the State Government remains committed to fostering an enabling environment for healthcare professionals to thrive, and to ensure delivery of quality, accessible as well as sustainable healthcare services across the State.
