SSA Advises Youth To Support Kwara Infrastructural Development Projects.
The need for youth in the Ilorin emirate to support the infrastructural development programmes embarked upon by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq has been stressed.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Alhaji Saadu Salaudeen stated this at the Twenty fifth annual convention of the Ilorin Emirate Development Progressive Union, IEDPU, held at the union Secretariat in Ilorin.
Alhaji Saadu Salaudeen, who represented the Governor at the event, said that Governor AbdulRahman’s administration is opening up Ilorin for foreign investors to bring about rapid economic development to the Emirate and the state at large.
He urged philanthropists in the Emirate to join the Governor in developing the state by keying into the investment programmes for Ilorin to continue to be at the forefront in the state.
In a remark, the Dan Iyan of Ilorin, Engineer Bolakale Kawu stressed the need to instill discipline in the youth and prioritize Islamic education to ensure that they did not only inherit the tradition but also upholds the values of integrity and hard work that define Ilorin Emirate.
He urged the IEDPU to take leadership roles by integrating strategies to actionable plans and to also prioritize educating the community on the significance of discipline, entrepreneurship and adherence to Islamic values.
