Transparency Advocacy for Development Initiative (TADI) has issued a statement commending President Bola Tinubu and Governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman of Kwara State for their swift and decisive action in securing the release of 38 worshippers abducted by criminal bandits in Eruku, Kwara State.
In a statement signed by its Executive Director, Ambassador Yomi David, and made available to newsmen in Ilorin, TADI expressed its deepest appreciation to the President and the Governor for their unwavering commitment to the safety and security of Nigerians.
Ambassador David also commended the tireless efforts of the Department of State Services (DSS), particularly the Director of the Service in Kwara State, Mr Micheal Oganwu, and other security agencies involved in the rescue mission.
“We are pleased to note that the joint efforts of the President, the Governor, and our security agencies have yielded the desired result,”the statement read.
“The safe return of the worshippers is a testament to the effectiveness of our security architecture and the resolve of our leaders to protect the lives of citizens.“
TADI also extended its gratitude to the people of Kwara State and the broader Nigerian community for their prayers and support during the ordeal.
“We are grateful for the outpouring of support and solidarity from across the country; it is a reminder that we are a nation united in the face of adversity.”
The organization prayed for the continued safety and well-being of the rescued worshippers and called on all Nigerians to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
