(The Suspects)
Three suspects Adeleke Oke, Sikiru Lawal and Moshood Ayinde have been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Command in Kwara State for allegedly defiling a Twelve year old girl in offa, Kwara State.
The suspects, all male were apprehended following a report lodged by the victim’s father at the NSCDC Offa Division.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the three suspects had unlawful carnal knowledge of the minor on different occasions and threatened her not to reveal the act to anyone.
The case has already been forwarded to the the Gender unit of the command for further investigation.
According to the spokesperson of the State Commandant Mister Michael Ayoola, the suspects confessed to the crime and would be charged to court.
Meanwhile, the State Commandant of the NSCDC Dr. Umar Mohammed has condemned the act, urging people of the state to partner the Corps in its efforts to combat sexual offences.
