Former General Manager of the Bank of Industry, BOI, Pastor Joseph Babatunde has called on Nigerians particularly the youth to continue to develop their brain through constant reading and learning.
Pastor Babatunde made the call in Ilorin while delivering a speech at his Authour Biography Book Launching.
The Authour Biography is entitled: “Peculiar Babs: An Epitome of God’s Grace and Mercy”.
He advised the youths to inculcate culture of reading and lifelong learning, adding that this will ensure cognitive growth and increases knowledge.
Babatunde stated that the book is a story from his heart, which chronicles his “life experience particularly in the Bank of Industries for others to read and be blessed”.
According to him, to become successful and have fruitful life, people should work hard and seek God’s guidance.
Babatunde also pointed out that he worked for 35 years in the BOI without a single query or any single negative report or blemish despite all the challenges at work.
The Authour also pledged that the bulk of the proceeds from the book will be deployed to Peculiar Foundation to establish the Peculiar Technical School and Youth Empowerment Centre.
He explained that the proceed would help in resolving youth related social challenges.
In his Book Review, Prof. Ernest Kolade of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), observed that the book will promote the culture of reading among people.
Prof. Kolade noted that the book also dwells on God’s grace and spiritual blessings throughout the journey of the Authour.
“The book will help guide the youth in this nation in becoming good community leaders,” he said.
