Members of staff, Radio Nigeria, North Central Zone have been urged to redouble efforts towards effective and efficient service delivery.
The Zonal Director, Mallam Haruna Idris gave the advice during an interraction with the Staff of Radio Nigeria – Harmony FM Idofian, after the end of the 15th Edition of the Zonal Committee of Management meeting held in Ilorin, Kwara State Capital.
Mallam Haruna Idris charged the staff on discipline and advised them to always come up with initiatives that would enhance better service delivery to the public and improve revenue generation.
The Zonal Director, who acknowledged operational challenges facing most of the FRCN stations, gave the assurrance of the readiness of the Director General, Dr Muhammed Bulama towards upgrading and maintenance of facilities.
He commended the management and staff of Radio Nigeria – Harmony FM for their dedication and commitment to duty despite enormous challenges.
Earlier, the General Manager, Radio Nigeria Harmony FM, Hajia Binta Abubakar-Mora, commended the Director General and the Zonal Director for their regular support to the station.
Hajia Binta highlighted some of the ongoing renovations work embark upon under her leadership and called for the assistance of the Zonal headquarters.
The meeting was attended by the General Managers of Harmony FM Idofian, Harvest FM Makurdi, Highland FM Jos, Precious FM Lafia, and Prime FM Lokoja as well as heads of departments including the Head of News, North Central Zonal Office Lafia, Mr Shimataver Aondoaka.
In the meantime, the General Manager of Highland FM Jos, Mrs Patience Jatau-Shedul has emerged as the “General Manager of the year 2024” of Radio Nigeria North Central Zone, Lafia.
Chairman of the GM of the committee and Deputy Director Administration in the Zone, Mallam Nma Ibrahim announced this at the 15th Zonal Committee of Management Meeting held in Viva Suites, GRA Ilorin, Kwara State.
Mallam Ibrahim stated that the Highland FM General Manager satisfied the criteria set by the committee and came tops among her colleagues.
He challenged other General Managers to work hard to enable them to emerge top this year.
The investiture ceremony will be held at a later date.
