Gov. AbdulRazaq mourns late Marafan Shonga, Alh. Abubakar Ndakene

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has condoled with the Emir of Shonga in Edu Local Government Area of the State, Dr. Haliru Yahya Ndanusa, over the death of Marafa Shonga, Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene.

Governor AbdulRazaq expressed sadness by the loss of Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene, describing him as a statesman and pillar of the community.

“His selfless service to our state and community has earned him respect and admiration among his people.”

The Governor also commiserated with the family and the people of Edu over the passing of the late politician and former member, Federal House of Representatives.

He urged the people to take solace in the deceased’s remarkable legacy, praying Almighty Allah to grant the departed Aljanat fridous.

Governor AbdulRazaq noted that late Ndakene’s contributions to the state’s development and his community’s well-being have left an indelible mark in the sands of time, adding that he will never be forgotten.

In a remark, the Emir of Shonga, Dr Haliru Yahaya Ndanusa thanked the Governor and his entourage for the visit, praying God to reward him abundantly.

Dr Haliru Yahaya also commended the Governor for his laudable programmes and policies aimed at developing the State.

The Royal father seized the opportunity to appeal to the Governor to include Shonga road reconstruction, repair of township road and upgrade of the palace.

Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene was a respected chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Marafan Shonga.

The Governor also paid a condolence visit to the Emir of Tsaragi in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdullahi Aliyu Kpoto over the death of one of his cousins, Alhaji Ahmed Shaaba.
