As the global community marks the International Women’s Day today, women in Nigeria have been advised to come up with creative ideas that will bring about economic development and reduce the present hardship in the country.
This advice was given by some women in an interaction with Radio Nigeria Harmony FM Correspondent, Bukola Olajide, in Ilorin.
A cross-section of respondents said as home builders, women needed to brace up to champion innovation and offer practical solutions that would drive the nation’s economy as well as solve societal problems.
The respondents called on government to as a matter of urgency, address the economic and security situations in the country and seek expert opinions on how to ensure food security.
The International Women’s Day is observed annually by the global community to celebrate the socio-economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Inspire Inclusion.”
