SIP Presents Sandals To Indigent Students In Kwara State
In a bid to support indigent students in public schools across Kwara State, over fifty leather sandals have been distributed free of charge to some selected pupils of the Government Day Secondary school, Amule in Okelele area of Ilorin, by the Sandals Initiative Project, SIP.
Founder of the SIP, Comrade Ibrahim Kale Jimoh acknowledged the fact that many pupils still walk to school bare footed which led to the introduction of the project.
Mallam Onikanhun Abdulwaheed who represented one of the sponsors of the project, Engr. Rilwan Jimoh-Cook stressed the importance of supporting the pupils.
In a remark, Vice Principal of the school, Mr Suleman Baraje lauded the initiative and expressed gratitude to the founder.
Some of the beneficiaries, who could not hide their joy, also thanked the founder and sponsors of the project as they also called on wealthy individuals to emulate them.
The Sandals Initiative Project, SIP, is designed to cover all public schools in the Sixteen Local Government Areas of Kwara State.
