Kwara Police Command Graduates 587 Personnel To Enhance Security

As part of efforts to strengthen its workforce and enhance security across the country, the Nigeria Police Force has successfully trained and graduated 587 constables.

The graduating constables, who are from Kwara and Kogi States, were part of the 2022 batch.

At the passing-out parade ceremony, the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun, represented by the Kwara State Police Commissioner, Mr Victor Olaiya, emphasized the importance of discipline, integrity, and responsibility in the police force.

Mr Egbetokun noted that the police uniform is not merely a symbol of authority, but a representation of service, sacrifice, and responsibility.

He reiterated the police’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd), also charged the new constables to work in partnership with other security agents to address security challenges facing the country.

In a remark, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq represented by his Senior Special Assistant on security, Alhaji Aliyu Muyideen, urged the new constables to work in line with the police act, emphasizing the importance of discipline and professionalism in their duties.

The passing out ceremony which marked the end of the personnel’s rigorous training, was attended by top police officials and dignitaries from Kwara and Kogi States.

The police force has been working to recruit and train 10,000 new police personnel to bolster local policing efforts and improve community safety.
