YSFON Hosts 3rd Edition of Hajia Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed National Under-15 Boys Soccer Tournament in Bauchi

The Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) is proud to announce the successful launch of the 3rd Edition of the Hajia Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed National Under-15 Boys Soccer Tournament.

The opening ceremony took place on Sunday, January 19, 2025, in Bauchi State.

Named after the wife of the Governor of Bauchi State, Hajia Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed (SARAUNIYAR BAUCHI), the tournament has drawn young football talent from across Nigeria.

This year’s competition sees the participation of 15 states, including Bauchi, Kaduna, Kebbi, Ondo, FCT Abuja, Gombe, Kano, Yobe, Katsina, Borno, Ekiti, Adamawa, Niger, Plateau, and Jigawa.

The event aims to promote youth development and foster sportsmanship among the nation’s young footballers, providing them with a platform to showcase their talents.

With such broad representation, the tournament is expected to be a key milestone in identifying and nurturing future football stars of Nigerian football.

Gombe, Borno maintain unbeaten runs as 3rd Hajia Dr Aisha Bala Mohammed U-15 enters day 2

Gombe State bounced back from a disappointing 1-1 draw with Kano State on match day 1 to record an emphatic 4-0 win over Jigawa State on match day 2 on Tuesday in the ongoing Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) 3rd Hajia Dr Aisha Bala Mohammed, wife of the Governor of Bauchi State (SARAUNIYAR BAUCHI) National U-15 Boys soccer competition.

Borno also maintained their unbeaten run in the competition with a 1-1 with the Bauchi B team after their fine start to the tournament on match day 1 beating Plateau State 5-1.

In other results on match day 2 played on Tuesday, Yobe defeated Plateau 1-0 while Kano lost 1-2 to neighbouring Kaduna State.

Katsina beat Niger 2-0 in an entertaining encounter while Ondo condemned their neighbouring Ekiti to a 2-0 win, Kebbi recorded the same margin of win over Adamawa.

In the results of matches played so far,
Bauchi team A showed no respect for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as they beat them 2-0.
