Federal Government says continuous capacity development and institutional collaboration are essential to improving efficiency across public sector agencies.
Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Muhammad Dingyadi, stated this at a workshop organised by the Nigerian Copyright Commission in collaboration with the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Represented by the State Controller of the Ministry, Mr Orodiran Michael, the Minister stressed that effective labour administration depends on strong inter-agency cooperation and adherence to global best practices.

Dr Dingyadi underscored the importance of continuous training in driving results-oriented governance and enhancing institutional performance.
In an address, the Director-General of the Nigerian Copyright Commission, Dr John Asein, called for stronger workplace collaboration to improve regulatory service delivery.
Dr Asein said the workshop, designed for officers on Grade Levels 13 and 14, was aimed at aligning institutional goals and strengthening teamwork within the Commission.
He noted that effective regulation in the digital economy requires speed, coordination, and responsiveness to emerging challenges.

The NCC Director-General warned that agencies operating in silos risk losing relevance and public trust in an increasingly interconnected system.
Dr Asein observed that the Commission’s expanded mandate under the Copyright Act 2022 places it at the centre of Nigeria’s evolving creative and digital ecosystem.
According to him, stakeholders, including authors, publishers, and digital platforms, now demand greater efficiency and accountability.
Dr Asein identified integrity, service, innovation, and excellence as the core values guiding the Commission’s operations.

He urged participants to move beyond identifying challenges to delivering measurable outcomes through professionalism, adherence to timelines, and accountability.
Earlier, the Director-General of the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies, Comrade Issa Aremu, reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to strengthening capacity for effective public sector performance.
Represented by the Director of Human Resources Management, Dr Danjuma Lawal, Comrade Aremu said the training aligns with the institute’s mandate to promote labour education, leadership development, and policy implementation.
He urged participants to maximise the opportunity to improve productivity and service delivery in their respective organisations.
